I own both and prefer the versions in this book as they are far more accurate and closer to the original. This is for more advanced guitarist; as you know Elliott was a gifted guitarist and had a very unique style of finger picking. Ive looked at one other Elliott Smith tab book in the past and it wasnt even close to being accurate; so I was very pleased with the quality of this one! Even if a song isnt perfect; itll be close enough to get you in the ballpark range. If youre an Elliott Smith fan looking to play some of his tunes; then online tabs are a cheaper alternative for his most popular songs. The transcriptions are inaccurate in obvious ways; especially in songs like "Angeles" where the details matter enormously. Moreover; on fingerpicking songs; the thumb/fingers lines are not separated by stem direction as is customary.Stick to free internet tabs. Theyre more accurate and more readable than this book.
