JonesThis collection of tabs -listing below- is great and has some gems ("Frosty" for example) that I look forward to being able to play someday.Unfortunately; not every song has chord diagrams to help a beginner like me with the proper voicings. The chord diagrams also help me gauge -at a glance- if I might have the ability to play the song now (rhythm guitar) even if I cannot manage the tabs yet (lead guitar).I also wish it had recommended strummming patterns.55th Street BoogieAfter HoursAll Your Love (I Miss Loving)Answer To The Laundromat BluesA Quitter Never WinsBaby; Please Dont GoBack Door ManBad AxeBad LoveBe Careful With A FoolBetter Off With The BluesBig CityBlind Man In The DarkBlue On BlackBlues Before SunriseBlues Leave Me AloneBoom BoomBorn Under A Bad SignBorn With A Broken HeartBridge Of SighsBrownsville BluesBullfrog BluesCherry Red WineChicago SmokeshopCincinnati JailCold ShotCome On In My KitchenConfidence ManCouldnt Stand The WeatherCrosscut SawCross Road Blues (Crossroads)Crying Wont Help YouDamn Right; Ive Got The BluesD.J. Great Resource for $20By BobbyFirst; I am classified as a beginner and working hard to learn rapidly. I am now focusing almost entirely on blues - from traditional country blues to newer versions. Tend to more of an accoustic player (finger style) even on electric. Before buying this book I read all the reviews and most of them are accurate from their perspective. But ... I have had the book for a little over a month now and am not in the least unhappy about spending my $20 on 1000 pages of music. It is true that there is a lot of stuff that I would not have considered blues (check out the table of contents if this concerns you). There are also a lot of traditional blues that I wish were in the book - but Ill bet the price would be a lot higher :-)When I first got the book; I could only find a few songs that I could even tackle. So I just started looking for riffs (sections of songs) that I could learn. That is working great. As I learn more the book becomes more valuable with more songes within my reach. Last night even tried a little slide with Brownville Blues - great fun. (The explaination of Tab at the back is very handy - of course you can get this elsewhere).Would be nice to have the book in PDF so I could print out the songs I am working on; write on it - and not have to lug the book around. As a beginner I really need to find a track to listen to. Youtube is even better - might get a few tips on fingering? I did.So ... think about why you are considering the book ... with 150 songs; it not hard for me to justify. Id buy it again with no hesitation.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Just what I was hoping for!By Larry LouksI have long enjoyed listening to the song "Oreo Cookie Blues" by Lonnie McIntosh. I have sometimes thought that if I could only play one blues song on the guitar (and play it really well); that song would be it. In the past I had scoured the Internet searching for the TAB notation for this great song. But; nothing could be found. Imagine my delight when I ran across this book; seeing that it contains the TAB for "Oreo Cookie Blues" and that alone prompted me to buy the book. It has lots of other great blues songs by many blues artists that can really "get down" when it comes to playing blues. In short; Im loving this book and Im so glad that I purchased it! Thanks; ! You rock!
