Description

This ground-breaking work employs survey data and in-depth interviews to compile a detailed picture of landlords and tenants in developing countries. Focusing on Mexico the authors examine the states housing policy; with its clear bias towards increasing home ownership; and explores the possibilities of improving the quality and increasing the stock of rented accommodation in the developing World.

He was very direct and engrossing as he detailed the record business of the 70s and 80s and how he handled life at the top of the music business !0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A riveting reminiscenceBy M. KerrThis is an incredibly pacy; readable book; fascinating both as a portrayal of the music industry and as the autobiography of somebody who threw all restraint out of the window. Its a classic case study of the ruinous effect of too much power on an already damaged individual and his soon abandoned wife and children. This is someone who finally got brought back to earth by a destroyed liver; a humiliating sacking and a subsequent business failure. His insights and interactions with his stars; his honest self-examination and the upbeat ending make this book easy to recommend. One quibble - what became of the sister; mentioned only once; who presumably shared his tough childhood?0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. I couldnt put it downBy Mary EllenRefreshing account of the 70s and 80s music scene. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the behind the scenes insights.
