Living History Museums: Undoing History through Performance

ePub Living History Museums: Undoing History through Performance by Scott Magelssen in Arts-Photography

Description

Over the years; the softly lit wood-paneled interiors; starched tablecloths; curved booths; tuxedoed captains; and tableside service that once defined classic continentalstyle fine dining have gradually disappeared. Equally; the number of historic restaurants filled with character and old-school ambiance dwindle with each passing year. Yet; vestiges cling to life in cities large and small. Through vivid new color photography and vintage material; Classic Dining celebrates the great mid-century restaurants that continue to thrive in New York; the greater Miami area; New Orleans; Las Vegas; the Chicago area; Los Angeles; and across the United States. Includes a directory of mid-century restaurants across America.

I try and get them to use the black dots...so; as this book contains TAB I would only use it with experienced students or adults who want to work on melody. Thus; the 3 star rating because I cant use it for everybody I teach. The Good: The songs are cool! It is a good supplement to the Ukulele Book 1 so if you are purchasing that book; this is a good add on to your purchase. If you are a TAB reader; it is fine.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Dont get this on your kindle.By JosyIm a beginner uke player. Some of these songs are easy for me; but others provide a good stretch. However the kindle format means you have to turn pages to play the entire piece. You can make the image larger; but that cuts off part of the page. I suggest buying the book. I do love the Hal Leonard Fast Track books for uke and harmonica. Im going to order this one in paper.16 of 17 people found the following review helpful. A Great Way to Start!By E. MoyerI bought this songbook for my beginning Ukulele students. I love the tabulature in addition to the notes. Its a perfect way to learn the fingerings while learning to read the music; words; chords. The songs are all familiar. I think it is a good supplement to any instruction books.
