MAJOR RIP OFFBy Objective analysisDO not be fooled by the title; this book is filled with craftsman style ornamentation and most designs are mediocre at best. You will not find one masterpiece by any Baroque or Renaissance artist of fresco fame; the usual understanding of the word;these are not thematic works that you might expect implied by the title. There are no major frescoe cycles represented at all; just low level filler ornamentation and average reproductions of average designs. If you are looking for a typical Dover ornamentation book then that is fine you will get your monies worth; because that is all it really is.Do not be fooled by the title if you really know or have seen a real frescoe masterpiece.
