However; the book does seem to be especially suited to kids. The reading is easy; with only a sentence or two on each page; stating some fact about butterflies or flowers. These facts are followed by one or more pages of illustrations showing various flowers and butterflies. The illustrations are not captioned with information stating the type of butterfly or flower shown; however; this might not be very useful to young children after all. The content of the book seems to be well thought out; since flowers and butterflies are not just similar in appearance; but have a close symbiotic relationship as well. Butterflies feed on nectar produced by flowers; and flowers rely on butterflies for pollination. This book is great for kids who are interested in nature; as most kids are. It is also great for encouraging a child to maintain and strengthen this interest. There is some very interesting facts in this book. Even if youre an adult who knows a thing or two about flowers and butterflies; you will learn some fascinating things in here. And if an adult can find this information fascinating; how much more inspiring will it be for a child? I suggest reading this book yourself and then having your kids read it. Maybe they will develop an interest in science.I received this book at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Photos dont always match up with Information Page ~ Confusing but Truly Beautiful PhotosBy Small~Town~GirlThis book is different than I pictured it; by the name of it; ldquo;Famous Flowers and Butterflies.rdquo; I expected a book of butterflies on flowers with names of both (since they are famous). However; that being said; it is best not to have expectations. The photos in this book are truly beautiful. It would have been fun to know the name of each of the butterflies pictured so the kids could learn them as we went along. However; the facts are interesting and informational. Both my 5-year-old reader and I were interested in the facts offered. The cartoon flower pages the facts are on seem kind-of odd and out of place with the real photographs (although they are cute) and I would have preferred those pages plain with words and maybe a border or something. Not bad; they just seem like they belong in a different book; cutesy versus pretty. On the flower half of the book; there were some odd pairings that seem confusing; with pictures not being by the correct words. For instance; there was a photo of a beautiful Daffodil and then the words were talking about how Moon Flowers. Then; there was a photo of what looked like a Marigold; but the words that accompanied it were about Dandelions. In the other pictures (or at least mostly); the words were about the flowers pictured. So the pictures were very pretty and the information was good; but very confusing at the same time.My 2- and 3-year old story buddies enjoyed the pretty pictures and my 6-year-old story buddy enjoyed the pictures and the facts. Overall; this is a pretty picture book with gorgeous nature photos and interesting information; but is also confusing and seems not to flow with the beautiful photographs and the cutesy cartoony informational pages that donrsquo;t always match up with the photo page.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. I recommend this e-book for toddlers and youth childrenBy Nancy careauFamous flowers and Butterflies is a great book with brilliant illustrations in which caught the eyes of my granddaughter. She enjoyed seeing the variety of Butterflies. She is a toddler so she canrsquo;t understand the actual facts but she paid attention to pictures while I read the facts and butterflies to her. The great thing about e-books is once you purchase them; you can keep them. She can go back to my kindle down the line and read for herself. The only thing in particular with this book is that I wish the Butterflies were labeled like the flowers were labeled. The seller was prompt with sending it to my Kindle. I am happy with this purchase and wish to see more from this illustrator. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking e-books for their toddlers and youth aged children :Dhellip; or in my case; Photographers who enjoy amazing photos of naturersquo;s beauty.Disclaimer: I received this item for free or at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
