audiobook Michelangelo: Volume 66 (Routledge Classics) by Adrian Stokes in Arts-Photography

Description

How well have architects succeeded in building housing and what lessons can be learned from their triumphs and failures? The Housing Design Handbook will give you a complete understanding of what makes successful housing design. Through the analysis of work by Levitt Bernstein and a wide range of other UK practices; it illustrates good design principles and accumulates a wealth of knowledge in a readily accessible format for the first time. Written by a recognised authority in the field; the book provides:a range of cases to illustrate the way that different issues in the design of housing have been approached and with what degree of successa review of the place of housing as the most significant built form in the urban landscapean understanding of the importance of achieving a sense of place as the bedrock of social continuitya discussion of how flexibility might be achieved in order to accommodate future changes in housing need; if wholesale demolition and replacement is to be avoidedmore recent examples which explore why certain social groupings are more resistant to design innovation than others and why there has been such an architectural breakthrough in market led; higher density urban living. David Levitt examines the ideas behind the schemes and assesses how successful and sustainable those ideas have proved; making this an essential reference for professionals and students practicing and studying the design and commissioning of housing.

But at the same time; its not a how to draw book. It doesnt show how to draw the clothes; or how wrinkles are placed. In fact they dont even really address the issue of drawing clothes. Id say; this is more of an information on styles; and thats even vague. This book has one page; stating the clothing type; like "Lolita" and it gives brief history on the clothing; when it was fashionable when it came into styles and how; etc. Then it shows three different items pertaining to what the type of clothing was. Then they just show a bunch of different artwork; with clothing that is very similar to the topic. DO NOT buy if you want a how to draw clothing book. The only people that would be interested in this book; are people who want to know about styles; and when the styles became a trend and where; and why. Honestly; I love manga and I love fashion; so this wasnt a terrible buy. Many pages; but then again; its mostly digital artwork with no instruction on how to draw. I suppose its not really considering a "how to draw manga" book; but I did find it whilst looking that up.I give a four; because I love to leanr things about fashion and this book helped me to learn better about various styles.
