There are a ton of different animals in this book with very vivid images and facts that are highly engaging which kept me wanting more knowledge. I read it to my three year old son and he was immediately a fan. All in all; I would definitely recommend this book to anyone with a toddler. I received this product for free or at a discounted rate in exchange for product testing and review. My aim is to highlight features and drawbacks that I would want to know about as a buyer; not hype the product for the manufacturer to increase sales. My remarks are sincere and true. I currently teach a multiage classroom of 1st and 2nd graders with varying ability levels from non readers to students reading at or above a 5th grade level.My rating: I give this kindle edition four stars.What or if I would use this for: I would use this as a reference book in the classroom; if I had the paperback edition. Or I would put it up on the promethean board for the whole class to see just to do an introduction of the ocean- especially if it were a theme I was using to teach with. But the photographs are so breath taking that it would be a great way to motivate or encourage students to learn more about the ocean.What my students thought: They loved the photographs!Quality of photographs or illustrations: The photographs are absolutely stunning! There is one on page 34 that is sideways- not sure if that is a publishing error or not.Depth of knowledge: It doesnt take until page 25 for you to start learning about the "Deep" blue sea. So I think the title is a little misleading; that is why I am giving it 4 stars. And the text is so random that it is somewhat hard to follow.Text quality:The actual quality of the font is placement is good. Not great- but good. It is varied; so it does capture the readers attention. I think the publishers could have put more thought into placing text on top of some of the photographs.╰☆╮஠I did get a discount for my honest review of this kindle book. I read all books before reviewing them. I am ALWAYS honest in the reviews I give. I will not give 5 stars unless I think it is accurate in the description and high quality. Thoroughly ENJOYED this book with a 2-; 3-; and 5-year-old ~ Enjoyed by ALLBy Small~Town~GirlI ordered this book to share with two preschoolers and one kindergartener. The two preschoolers thoroughly enjoyed the pictures. I did not read everything to them; but named the things in the picture and sometimes added a little fact in for the older preschooler. The kindergartener; however; is one who is old enough to be patient and hear the words. He loves books full of interesting facts and remembers them well to share the information with others. In all cases; each of the children enjoyed this book; as did I; with the truly beautiful pictures. I found myself wistfully longing for a visit to the sea. The order of words changed; sometimes coming before the picture; sometimes after; which is not a big deal; but would be easier for the Kindle if they were all the same order. I would love for each of the pictures to say where they are taken with the sea (first) half and what ALL of the fish and sea creatures are in the second half. However; we really did all completely enjoy this book and the pictures really are exceptional. This book sparked their fun imaginations and made them excited for our annual reunion vacation; not at the sea; but at a lake where they find seashells and play in the sand each year. Overall; again; we all enjoyed this beautiful book and Irsquo;m sure we will soon be perusing it again.
