In this absurd and forceful play; two brothers; one weak; one strong; play out a primal scene of envy; cruelty and torture as the strong exerts his power and aggression over the weak. Involuntarily; the audience finds itself complicit in the brutality witnessed onstage through Gambaros command of a powerful and irresistible black humour. Here the absurd becomes a harrowing metaphor of the most pure and raw reality. First performed in 1967; this is an early; yet startling brilliant; work by the internationally acclaimed Argentine playwright; Griselda Gambaro. Siamese Twins runs at Theatro Technis ; London; 7-25 September 2011.

A Must ReadBy joan murrayI recently had the privilege of seeing Ann Ulanov at a Jungian workshop where she presented this material. So potent has it been that several of us women have formed a study group around the book. The effect is powerful. Each person finds the material uniquely personal and illuminating.11 of 12 people found the following review helpful. Exploring the last Great Territory...our interiorityBy SusanAnn Ulanov is a consummate courageous explorer of the human inner world. She goes where heroes fear to tread. Personally I can only read a paragraph at a time because the psychological material she is working with is so powerful it takes my breath away. I cant read Ann Ulanov and see the outer world in the same way. I could try to unlearn what she has opened my eyes to but may the Gods help I if I do!
