It has so many songs in it that I like to play that arent in any of my other songbooks. I love that even though its big and fat and NOT spiral bound; its pages nonetheless lie flat wherever I open them to; that its sturdy cover and its binding hold up under frequent use; that they didnt skimp on the quality of the paper and printing. And that you can get it here for under twenty bucks. But what exactly; you may wonder; does Hal Leonard mean by "easy" piano? Well; Id say it means that if you can read and play standard sheet music; you can probably play anything here. Which I guess Id put at around Grade 3 competence level and beyond. Its really too; too bad the seller isnt offering one of s "inside looks" here like they did on the product page for an earlier version of this book; so you could check out the contents list and see what youd be getting. Maybe I can help a little with that. Im not going to rattle off all 150 titles; but here are 50 of them; which should give you a pretty good idea whether this is your kind of songbook:Always on My Mind; And I Love Her; Bewitched; By the Time I Get to Phoenix; Candle in the Wind; Cant Help Lovin Dat Man; Climb Every Mountain; Daddys Little Girl; A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes; Fields of Gold; Fly Me to the Moon; From a Distance; Georgia on My Mind; I Have Dreamed; I Just Called to Say I Love You; I Left My Heart in San Francisco; I Will Wait for You; Ill Be Seeing You; If You Go Away; Imagination; Ill Have to Say I Love You in a Song; In My Room; In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning; Ive Grown Accustomed to Her Face; The Last Waltz; Let it Be Me; Look to the Rainbow; Memory from Cats; Moon River; My Funny Valentine; Oh What a Beautiful Mornin; The Rainbow Connection; Release Me; She; Some Day My Prince Will Come; Some Enchanted Evening; Somewhere My Love; Somewhere Out There; Stardust; Tears in Heaven; Tenderly; Tennesee Waltz; Till There Was You; A Time for Us; True Love; Try to Remember; What a Wonderful World; What Kind of Fool Am I?; When You Wish Upon a Star; Yesterday; You Light Up My Life;0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Truly beautiful songsBy Book LoverI got the vocal / piano version of this about fifteen years ago; as a teenager; and always loved singing these songs while my mom accompanied on the piano. (Last year I bought a copy for my mom to keep.) It really is my favorite book. I decided to search on for a similar book for ukulele; since Ive picked up on that in the last year; and was surprised to find the same book; but smaller and for ukulele! Such wonderful songs; and a convenient size for taking around with my uke. Im sure Ill be buying more for gifts.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Straightforward; easy classics with a few clunkersBy 3tabbiesIm returning to the piano after a 25-year absence (I took lessons for eight years as a kid but was never exceptionally good). This is a nice book for someone like me. I can sit down and bang out a few tunes by sight-reading and they sound pleasant enough. Lyrics are included with each song. Every once in a while; there are some bad chords; and one or two songs just dont sound right to me.I do wish the book was spiral-bound. Its very large and heavy and does not lie flat. Also; after only a few months of ownership; the binding is already falling apart. I suspect Ill want to move on to more challenging versions of these songs after a while; but for now; this is a good book.
