The book is advertised as being published in 2014; in the Kindle version it says its written in 2007. Nice. So being seven years old; the website links in the book lead to dead pages; or in one case the website didnt exist anymore. The hardcover includes a DVD and some subtitling software. Fine. I can live without them in the Kindle version; but why arent the Appendixes included in the Kindle version. For 50 bucks; I expect more. I think the Authors; Kindle folks and the people at Routledge publishing all deserve rotten eggs!1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Great resource on subtitlingBy EllaI bought the paperback version with DVD; and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.I studied audiovisual translation in London and I work with subtitles in different languages on a daily basis. I was looking for a refresher; as well as a compendium with information on subtitling standards for different language groups. It helped me prepare trainings for my team on this topic. I keep it on my desk at work at all times and refer to it often.
