Mic check! Mic check! Lacking amplification in Zuccotti Park; Occupy Wall Street protestors addressed one another by repeating and echoing speeches throughout the crowd. In Occupy; W. J. T. Mitchell; Bernard E. Harcourt; and Michael Taussig take the protestorsrsquo; lead and perform their own resonant call-and-response; playing off of each other in three essays that engage the extraordinary Occupy movement that has swept across the world; examining everything from self-immolations in the Middle East to the G8 crackdown in Chicago to the many protest signs still visible worldwide.

Wonderful songwriter; great collectionBy Zachary PinkhamCy Coleman was the last contributor to the Great American Songbook; and oh my how fantastic those contributions were! Hal Leonard has done a very nice job of selecting a great variety of tunes for the collection; I would have liked to a see a bit more from City of Angels; anything from The Life; and its very odd that "Theres a Sucker Born Every Minute" was left out; but otherwise; its pretty great.I would like to note that the arrangements are quite hit or miss though. This book was clearly compiled from a bunch of already existing books; so youll notice the typeset change from song to song. Some of them are formatted like songs out of Alfreds Cole Porter books; others are taken from the vocal selections of the many musicals Coleman scored. In the case of the songs from City of Angels; Colemans finest work; its excellent. In the case of the songs from Sweet Charity; not much... Id recommend taking a closer look before you buy; just to be sure youre satisfied.Despite that complaint; I give this five stars based on the excellence of Colemans writing. If youre unfamiliar with it; please; pick this up and discover some of the greatest music the 20th century had to offer!
