Sullivan does a balanced job providing context for each cover (time period; intended audience; etc) with funny observations. For example; guessing who is supposed to be portrayed on some of the odder covers. Noting the copies of Northanger Abbey that gush about its gothic suspense (wait; did no one read the book?). The influence of YA Fantasy Romance on contemporary Austen covers. If you have a loved one that keeps a "nice" copy and a "reading" copy of Pride and Prejudice; theyd probably enjoy this.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
