It demonstrates pattern cutting and has a wide range of body measurements. I have found the armscye to be really deep; and the shoulder is really weird when her directions are followed; and the ease is really too generous. Once you make a block with her instructions; there are still lots of alterations that need to be done for a comfortable product. Still; once I figured out the specific measurements of my target audience (mostly my own kids) the changes were easily made and marked. The instructions on creating a block were great for me to start with and practice on; and once I had hers mastered I was able to easily make my adjustments. I have found her sleeve cutting instructions to be my favorite page to flip to. A good reference; but not everything Id hoped for.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Excellent must having sewing pattern making books!By Joanne HarrisonExcellent resource for drafting and designing your own sewing patterns. A must have for all sewers that design their own clothing and make patterns. Also makes converting patterns to pdf format easier. Fantastic reference and go-to books that I am so very glad a teacher (teaching how to make pdf patterns) recommended but does not have the text book pricing! I got all 3 books for my birthday - Metric Pattern Cutting for Womens Wear; Metric Pattern Cutting for Menswear and Metric Pattern Cutting for Childrens Wear and Babywear.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
