I enjoy reading these old classics; and this one is great because it is funny; and gives you an idea about what life was like for the well to do a century ago. You read a lot about the less fortunate back then; but how did the rich entertain themselves! It was pretty interesting; and some of the female characters were strong and independent; which surprised me. Its different reading about characters from that time period by an author of that time; instead of what authors today imagine it was like.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Shaw at his best!By AnonymousThis play is hilarious in only a way Shaw could write! One of the more "talky" plays; Shaw questions family; parents to children and vice versa; and ultimately people fighting to get out of their social boxes that society has chained them into. Read it!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Five StarsBy Daniel HandleyWitty GBS play.
