The main reason is that I love looking at old photos of places -- its the closest any of us will come to time travel -- and its especially interesting in the case of places like Centreville and Chantilly that have changed so dramatically in recent years. The author did a great job of finding photos from personal collections as well as public ones; so there are photos here that you will not see elsewhere. Theres also history here you wont find in other books about the area; neat little personal stories that help to bring the images to life.
