The photos are gorgeous! Again you get the symbols; photos; written instructions; and diagrams. But this book is about construction. ALL about construction. Top-down; one piece; bottom up; rounds; rows; granny motifs and a section on "unique construction". Some of her combinations are truly inspired; like a lace top with a heavy cowl collar worked as granny motifs; then joined. My favorite has to be the "Burnt Plaid Dress" worked from the bottom up to the shoulders. Yes; I said plaid.Tips throughout; symbols; abbreviations and illustrations; written stitch directions all handily placed at the book. Although not a true step-by-step for designing from scratch; this book does have a lot of hints and tricks; and provides several attractive sweaters for you to customize and tweak to fit you perfectly. With explanations on how to crochet sweaters in several different ways; there is definitely something for everyone who wants to take their crochet to the next level.
