I needed her explanations of the "stasis" in his famous "Tombeau de Chambonniegrave;res" to further my composition of a harpsichord piece "Tombeau de M. Berio". McClarys book is well-written and well-structured and her way of reasoning; combined with feeling is both sensible and soulful.
