I never knew that the area was a summer respite for the rich and famous in Victorian and Edwardian days.It is also nice to put faces to familiar street names.I enjoyed the old pictures of times before the lake; and the history of Chimney Rock Park. BlantonFamily has property between Rumbling Bald and Roundtop that overlooks most of the lake. Great coffee table book for the house. Maybe one day Ill meet the author and hell sign it. Wish a larger version were available.
