Best Guitar Theory BookBy VirginiaExcellent book which explains music theory for guitar which has practical applications if you want to improvise; create nuanced playing; and increase your ability to play and jam with others. Underneath creativity are skilled honed by understanding the construction of music and the layout of the fretboard. You will learn patterns and concepts that will give you the tools you need to become a better guitarist and musician. The book discusses all types of music and all the types of scales including all the modes. I am a fiddler and find the book helpful for me. The first book Ive ever seen that explains how music and guitar notes correlate sensibly. After reading most of this book; I think Ive got a handle on it. BTW this used book was in better shape than the one I checked out from the library! Also; the author is top notch! Sensible; Concise; and Useful. What else is there?
