A great source for bringing art history into focusBy Mason JahrI was unsure how there was a connection between Picasso and Marcel Duchamp; but this author has done a great job of putting their lives into perspective with the times they lived in. The book added a great deal to my understanding of both artists and their works of art. It definitely increased my understanding of art history. I have been able to apply the information in this book to visits to exhibits that I have seen since reading the book and in turn it has increased the pleasure I get when viewing modern art.
