Robin e la pietra blu (Italian Edition)

audiobook Robin e la pietra blu (Italian Edition) by Livy Former in Arts-Photography

Description

Despite its foundational role in the history of philosophy; Platorsquo;s famous argument that art does not have access to truth or knowledge is now rarely examined; in part because recent philosophers have assumed that Platorsquo;s challenge was resolved long ago. In Art and Truth after Plato; Tom Rockmore argues that Plato has in fact never been satisfactorily answeredmdash;and to demonstrate that; he offers a comprehensive account of Platorsquo;s influence through nearly the whole history of Western aesthetics.

Concise bios; photos and graves of the founding families of Seattle are stuffed with information. A surprising and interesting side tour includes: Bruce Lee; Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain. This volume is a quick read and a great choice.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Fascinating look at a topic not usually covered in booksBy Julie KingMost people probably dont give cemeteries much thought as a rule; but this book goes beyond the headstones and gives a fascinating glimpse into the lives of people who are remembered. I was born and raised here and there are many things in this book I had never heard before! This book is very well researched and the variety of photos are amazing. In particular; the author happened to be at Kurt Cobains grave when Krist Novoselic (bassist and co-founder of Nirvana) showed up with flowers and a card for his friend. Its moments like these that makes this book particularly touching.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. BrilliantBy Teresa TallmanBrilliantly written. I could appreciate the founders contribution to Seattle. Thoroughly enjoyed it! The photos tie the person to the tombstone...I felt like I was there.
