Description

BrownIve had many chord books over the years and have found this one in particular to be the absolute best I have ever read. What it essentially does is teach you how to play all of the chords in any key; on any three strings. As you advance your understanding of chord structure; inversions; and how to use the cycle of 5ths; you will quickly learn that you dont have to memorize every chord out there; Once you learn how to do each type of chord and what makes it what it is; youll be able to figure out all kinds of ways to play it on different string and fret positions. Dont skip any chapters. If you really want to understand theory; this book can help. But; as with anything you endeavor to learn; you have to do your part and read it. This book will make you a better musician if you spend time using it.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Info a plentyBy MikeManthis is not a book for the beginner. he assumes you know a decent bit of theory and that you know the guitar neck very well. It is a ton of info that i think can overwhelm and discourage a beginner and even intermediate guitar player. However; it does have a wealth of decently organized material on how to build; name; and play chords.. maj; min; dim; aug; all types of 7ths and extended chords as well. Its certainly working my brain! and helping me learn the neck better.
