The Murders at Argos retells the Oresteia story with Orestes and Electra as murderous teens. Cressida Among the Greeks takes place during the last days of the Trojan War. The story of the doomed lovers is woven together with the foibles of the Trojan royal family as they try to stave off impending disaster. Cressida among the Greeks takes off from Shakespeare and Chaucer; revisting Trolius and Cressida; the classsic tale of love and betrayal amid the chaos of war; with romantic passion and acerbic humor.

Review
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Mind = BLOWN!By Kristi PierseI bought this manuscript for two reasons: 1) Im studying modern Irish literature; and 2) Cillian Murphy. Although Cillian Murphy has nothing to do with the play (as far as writing it; what its about; etc.); I hold his acting skills in extremely high esteem. The man is simply brilliant. I knew that if this play was something Cillian Murphy performed; there was no question it was going to be amazing. Before purchasing this manuscript I read some reviews; watched some theatrical trailers; and spoke with people who had gone to see the play. I had seen the film "Disco Pigs"; but was previously unaware that it was adapted from a play of the same name written by Mr. Enda Walsh. Having been moved by the film adaptation of "Disco Pigs"; I determined that "Misterman" was worth reading........and; boy; am I glad I did!!!!!!!!Holy moly! What a ride! The play is very short; so it took me just over an hour to read it the first time around. Now that Im into my third reading; its taking a great deal of time as I am picking apart every single word; innuendo; name; phrase; etc. The first time I finished it; I sat it on the table in front of me; stared at it with wide eyes and mouth agape; and felt like I had been knocked off my feet! Within seconds I was hit with a wave of revelation that got stronger and stronger with each passing moment. After the initial awe wore off; I grabbed my pencil and began frantically scribbling notes in the back of the text. WOW! There arent many manuscripts or books that can do that.READ THIS PLAY!! If you love amazing literature; if you love Irish literature and authors; if you love having your brain picked to pieces by the words on the page before you ever get a chance to pick back at it - READ THIS PLAY!! My only hope is that someone filmed Mr. Murphys performance of this play and that it will one day (soon!) be available for viewing. When I finish my degree and Im teaching Irish literature; this play will DEFINITELY be taught in my classes!!!
