A interesting timely version of a classic playBy Firth FanThis is the script of the recent Donmar Warehouse production of "A Dolls House"; updated by Zinnie Harris. I was able to see the actual production in London and was floored by the fantasic performances of Gillian Anderson (X-Files; Bleak House) as Nora; Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who; Elizabeth) as Neil (Krogstad) and Toby Stephens (Jane Eyre; Die Another Day) as Thomas (Torvold). The updated play places Thomas as a politician instead of a banker which plays out superbly against the current economic and political crisis of the current day. A worthy companion to the original Ibsen masterpiece and definably worth a read!!
