This book is a wonderful exploration of how to really listen and understand how to listen to music. This book makes the most sense when read on a tablet; so that all the musical examples are easily to hand. Loved it0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Four stars for Kapilow; zero stars for Wiley.By Jim CoughenourGreat author; pathetic publisher. I read this book when it first came out and appreciated the musical clips; although even by the standards of 2008 the website was clunky. Now that site is completely gone; removing a key ingredient to the books appreciation. This could have been remedied in the Kindle edition by including the sound clips in the book - again very simple technology. Reading/listening to a book like this on a tablet is a real opportunity for educating our understanding for music and text. Wiley has completely failed the opportunity; a sorry commentary on its editors and engineers. -- If you think Im exaggerating; compare the Orchestra or Beethovens Ninth app created by Touch Press. Those indicate the promise of interactive publishing.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. No website any moreBy Robert WarnerThe web site; essential to the book; no longer exists. Thanks; Wiley
