Learn those ZZ Top songs - can be easy if done rightBy ComeOnInMyKitchenI have a couple of the Play-Along volumes and they have proven valuable in building additional chops and technique. While the included CD does not contain the original recorded versions; the covers are of high quality and the matching TAB shows the exact notes being played. Keep in mind -- this is NOT an instructional guide that breaks down the songs to teach you the licks. What is provided is a cover of each song (at speed) along with TABs. Also included is a backing track for each song without the lead guitar so you can play along. With that being said; this guide can be used to provide excellent instruction. To best use the material for learning; the songs can be slowed down so you can follow along with the TAB. This requires an external device or a PC with the right software -- I use a standalone guitar trainer device for this purpose and have no experience using the software included with the CD. Whether you want to learn some additional licks or some of the entire songs; I would recommend this product.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. The amazing slow downer helps slow down the tracks without changing pitch. The print is easy to read with high quality bindings. I like this product.
