Balconies; doors; windows; trim of all kinds; drawn in elevation and cross-section; this book has more than ample information about how Italianate; Gothic; and Second Empire homes were decorated. Although elevations of residences in these styles are shown at the end of the work; no floor plans are given. Therefore if plans is what one is looking for; better to look elsewhere. Overall; an excellent book for the person who can interpret the detailed drawings.
