There is a video to be found online that is played with this Parkening transcription. Perfect.7 of 8 people found the following review helpful. Virtuoso TranscriptionsBy GuitarTabTrader@BlogspotIf you dont like tab with your standard notation; then this may not be the book for you. But if you rely on tab; then the notation is indispensable at achieving Parkenings sound; the fingerings and rhythmic figures are expertly engraved in the notation. And nicely provided is the recording source for most of the transcriptions; spanning about eight albums. However; a few of the transcriptions give no recording source; because I dont think Parkening ever recorded them; like "Sonata in D" by Albeniz (Arr. Patrick Russ). So in assembling reference audio; I relied upon Breams version; although its not the same arrangement. The same goes for the two "Fantasias" by Milano; the "Fantasia" by Dowland; and "Suite No. 9 in Dm" by de Visee; it seems that Parkening never recorded them either; but you can find alternate recordings if you look around. Although I could find no recording by any artist whatsoever of "Danza" by Diego de Torrijos; which is an old harpsichord tune I think.Overall its a very nice collection; especially if youre a fan of Parkening and want some virtuoso classical guitar tabs.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
