StrongI ordered the script after seeing a great student production at the RADA in London. This simple but hard-hitting play brings home the poignancy of that time when Jewish families in Germany and Austria sent their children to live in England; hoping; vainly in many cases; that their families could be re-united later. Im very happy to own this powerful playscript.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. AmazingBy Karoline FischerThis play is really amazing. I would love to have a stronger word for it. The author touches so deeply with her words and how she expresses how her characters feel. I also saw the play and its so strong on stage too. Very powerful play; very powerful content that the author captured just so perfectly.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Saving EvaBy C. E. CornellKindertransport is a moving drama of the effects of the transport of a Jewish girl from Germany to Britain; requiring her separation from her parents. In the present of the play; the girl Eva is a grown woman; a mother herself; contemplating a more normal separation from her own daughter. Her emotions are complicated by her memories of her past. The play is about Jewish identity; the difficult moral choices facing a Jewish parent in the late 1930s in Germany; what it means to "save" your child; and mothers and daughters. Well worth reading or assigning in a high school or college class in Holocaust literature.
