Description

Billy Strayhorn (1915-1967) was one of the most accomplished composers in American music; the creator of such standards as "Take the A Train"; yet all his life he was overshadowed by his friend and collaborator; Duke Ellington. Through scrutiny of Strayhorns private papers and more than five hundred interviews; Hajdu revives Strayhorn as one of the most complex and tragic figures in jazz history.

She did say a few of the notes (Chords) on a few songs seem a little "off" (she plays guitar). It was very playable for a Advanced Beginner guitar student. She knew most of the chords.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Five StarsBy In His MightI love it! Arrived as described!
