If you want to know how to draw boys; and their delicious bodies; GET THIS BOOK! It helps so much; so goes through it with great detail; and has many different poses and plenty of weird ones too! Theres boys hands; feet; muscles; poses; different body shapes (thin; muscular; chubby) Honestly; She is my favorite how to draw manga artist. The clothing is spectacular also; she shows you shadows; and wrinkles and explains it all. She helps anyone; it doesnt matter if youre a beginner or advanced.4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Great Book Series!!!By VioletglitterI really love the Shojo Fashion Manga art school Series tremendously!! It is a very informative and in depth look and creating unique characters! Boys is no exception to that with so much information about how anatomy and muscles work it helps you draw proper looking men/boys! For someone who has trouble with drawing any sort of male figure its gold! :) I really hope this series can continue because these books are the most informative that I have found for the popular manga look that looks a bit more realistic than a standard flashy disproportionate manga character without much structure.Anyway; I highly recommend it!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. The How-To Book I Wish I Had Years AgoBy ShleeFinally!!! A How-To-Draw Manga book that features art that is anatomically correct!!! I cannot explain the struggle over the years Ive had in looking for these kinds of books and the disappointment I faced at the poorly drawn examples...book after book.... I wish that I had this book when I was first learning how to draw and make my own characters!! Its still helpful to me now; I find that I will flip through it when I am dry on inspiration. The book features pages and pages of beautiful art in full color; with tutorials on things like how to draw folds in clothing; and how different kinds of fabrics hang; etc. Things that are hard to grasp when youre starting out drawing; made simple in easy-to-follow steps. The range of characters and representation is fantastic - I think its so important to feature characters of different skin tones and ethnicities for learning artists; and its something I have noticed is severely lacking in these how-to-draw books up until now. Irene teaches you to create characters beyond the one-dimensional cookie-cutter stereotypes that most how-tos fall back on. (Especially when it comes to boys fashion; there isnt much in terms of example to look for out there. I remember struggling to come up with anything other than a button-down shirt and some jeans!!) This book shows so many colorful outfits that fit current trends for you to draw inspiration for. This is a must-buy if youre looking to improve your art skills; just starting out drawing; just looking for a bit of inspiration because all your male characters wear the same outfit... Its just a great book. I am delightfully impressed.
