The book not only offers a useful collection of tips on how to handle various problems one could have with the car. Also it teaches how to distinguish between serious problems and not so serious ones;as well as what questions one may want to ask a mechanic in case they show an outrageous list of deficiencies. Finally; the 2009 edition seems to be a reprint of 1992 edition as both have the same ISBN number.
