Review
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Fine play from Shakepeares timeBy D. WolitzerThe Dutch Courtesan is a good read if you enjoy plays of this era. You can feel what it might have been like to have attended plays and lived in that time and place. New Mermaids editions tend to be excellent and this one is no exception. The notes are helpful without inflicting overly scholarly material on general readers like me. As usual; so many of the notes deal with sexual innuendo. I guess not too much has changed in the past 400 years.
