ebooks The Green Table: The Labanotation Score; Text; Photographs; and Music (Language of Dance Series) by Ann Hutchinson Guest in Arts-Photography

Description

This will be of particular interest to undergraduates of performing arts and the substantial community of those engaged in storytelling; filling a noticeable void in an emerging field of scholarship. Michael Wilson addresses the recent rise of storytelling as a professional performance art by providing a critical survey of current practice and a critical framework for those debates currently taking place; and those debates which will undoubtedly emerge in future. The text includes critical analysis of a range of practices alongside interviews with key contemporary practitioners about their work.

This is a really good book for all levelsBy daniel brachoWell as part of the book title; this is all the essential and basic knowledge of music theory that you may need at the beginning of your musician life.Let me tell you that i am studying music as a degree in college and this is almost an equivalent of the first semester of music theory 1 and harmony 1; so yeah to me was refreshing but this book has a lot of good and useful information tips for you to understand the theory nicely and quickly. So i really recommend you this book if you want to learn or refresh your theory. Please never understimate the fact of knowing music theory (it will help you in every aspect even in your playing) and dont pay attention to what rock players say about theory...1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. It is a very good primer for the casual musician who needs a good conversational foundation in theory; but not a deep dive. It may also be good for a high school student prepping for a college major in music. It starts with notes; scales; major and minor chord building; and goes to harmony; chord movement and more. The last couple chapters are specific to the basics of large ensemble composition; like marching band or symphony.
