These are really good arrangements; true to the original scoresBy JCGThere are a lot of simplified piano accompaniments out there for some of these songs. In some cases; they mess with the key changes to make it easier for the piano and harder for the singer. This book does not do that. All these great songs; sung as you hear them on stage!One note: the Kindle version is low-resolution scanned page images. Usable but a bit blurry. But hey...its an amazing collection as it is; and you cant please everyone. This is a team that has given us show after show of memorable music. Some shows barely squeaked by with one or two attractive numbers; but others -- like CABARET and CHICAGO -- are brimming with gems; often with nary a dud in sight. Its fabulous to have all these songs in one place. Truly a dynamic team of beautiful; touching; often hilarious musical writing. These songs are written with the singer in mind and; while often challenging; are always vocal. They also demand acting skills - something too often missing from contemporary composers. Bravo!
