Description

Be aware that as the articles included in the book were written during a time period ranging over several centuries; some are real old French. But there are enough varieties to meet anyones taste if its OK with you not to read every single article in the book. Wish there are more of these kinds; but you will find at least several French / English books of similar genre in .1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Bedtime stories; each with a message; to be digested whilst sleeping.By LadyA classic French book of fables; lovely to read to children; and easy for them to understand and begin to realise that the same problems and solutions occur in every country and language. These fables are a way of introducing the lessons of life to quite small children. One remembers these stories and the messages they convey all throughout life. Truly delightful.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Loosely translatedBy STEPHANIE V THOMPSONIt seems rather loosely translated to me. There are a lot of added words in the translation that are not in the original text. The general idea is the same; but it is not a strict translation.
