If youre looking for ways to give back to your community; then this book; the first to profile thirteen projects designed and built by architects and Habitat for Humanity; will help. Detailed plans; sections; and photographs show you how these projects came about; the strategies used by each team to approach the design and construction process; and the obstacles they overcame to realize a successful outcome. The lessons and insights; presented here will aid you; whether youre an architect; architecture student; Habitat affiliate leader; or an affordable housing advocate.Located all across the United States; these projects represent the full spectrum of Habitat for Humanity affiliates; from large urban affiliates to small rural programs. And each house demonstrates that design quality need not fall victim to the rigorous imperatives of cost; delivery; and financing.

Twenty-four tunes for $12 - you cant beat it with a stick. Here is your chance to sound like Bill without having to quit your job and study piano full time - if that would even work. Brent E. does a masterfulfull job of arranging these tunes in the Bill Evans style and yet they are quite accessible to players of modest technique. Brent E.: When are you going to do the same for Oscar Ps canon?2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Pleasant SurprisesBy Scott H. DerrickThis is a great collection of Bill Evans arrangements; beautifully written for the intermediate to better player. It has been rewarding to play some unfamiliar pieces and enjoy the pleasant surprises of beautifully sounding jazz works. If you play background music for social events or in public; this is a must book to access a few pieces for your repertoire. I enjoy Alice in Wonderland; Autumn Leaves; and Letter to Evan to mention a few. I had not heard the Spartacus movie theme song for many years; but I found the arrangement beautiful and interesting to play. I highly recommend this book and all of the others in this Hal Leonard series.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. A Great Set List of Bill Evans - But No "Waltz For Debby"By Carl ChristensenThis is a pretty great set of Bill Evans standards; and fits in well with the excellent "Hal Leonard Jazz Piano" series -- but somehow they left out "Waltz for Debby" which is probably THE signature Bill Evans piece. I wasnt expecting a full exact transcription but a few pages of his "#1 hit" would have been nice and completed the book.
