REALLY?????By RANDELI bought both of Mr. Waughs books of period drawings on the assumption that they would be amusing complications of erotic drawings...and they are. Unfortunately; he has taken his projects far too seriously with exhaustive (and exhausting) introductions (the introduction to one volume is 100 pages long. Im not kidding! And in this volume there are two instances of the most ridiculous kind of self-censorship. Two pages show "fragments" of drawings that (we are told) involve under-aged boys (DRAWINGS!!!) and the bottom half of each drawing has been obscured. Really? In 2016; you either show a picture or you dont. And considering the nubile schoolboys you can find on half a hundred easily accessed websites these days; I doubt the Federal Government would be breaking Mr. Waughs door down for publishing a pencil drawing from the 1930s or 50s. Truly; a gesture as stupid as it is insulting. On the plus side: I was intrigued to find some drawings apparently inspired by the novels of Jean Genet....but be prepared to be occasionally frustrated by amateurish drawings and over-zealous editing.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
