The Modern Station: New Approaches to Railway Architecture

PDF The Modern Station: New Approaches to Railway Architecture by Brian Edwards in Arts-Photography

Description

Djinnn. pl. jinn also djinnIn Muslim legend; a spirit often capable of assuming human or animal form and exercising supernatural influence over people. Ashrafi and Bilal are orphaned siblings stranded and defined by the troubles in Kashmir. Eighteen-year-old Bilal is the pride of the region; part of a teenage football team set for great heights; and pushed to the limits by the violence around them. Haunted by hope; his sister is caught in the past; and Bilal is torn between escaping the myths of war and the cycles of resistance. Interweaving true stories and testimonies with Islamic storytelling; the play paints a magical portrait of a generation of radicalised kids; and a beautiful landscape lost to conflict.

Like any other bookQuick review of types of light; using characteristics of shadow. Like any other book.Nothing here truly devoted to creating cinematic portraiture. Also missing your typical work with scrims ; widely used in old cinema. Its a good crash course but nothing more.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. ... lot of the information in the book its still nice to have everything in one placeBy Kevin QueenEven though I knew a lot of the information in the book its still nice to have everything in one place. Makes an awesome reference book and for anyone who is new to photography or wants to try some new things; this is a great information highway. Not any new techniques or revelations but a solid book with enough ideas to spark any creative imagination.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Wonderful book for creating portraits for your clients of very classic hollywood styling.By ann normentThis is a great resource if you want to learn how to light portraits for your clients with a cinematic feel. Pete Wright goes into depth about period clothing and prop selection as well as how to set up your lights to achieve this style. Highly recommend the book. I also highly recommend his workshops. I have taken several from him. He is a wonderful instructor and he makes sure that you understand everything he teaches you so that you can go back to your studio and create the look on your own.
