Did not have this problem with the other 2 books I bought in this series: Play Like Freddie King; Play Like Jimi Hendrix. I emailed the author and Hal Leonard. Will post an update if I get a resolution.1 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Great Intro to EC style playingBy bluesfuzeI feel author did a fine job on history and application of gearThe transcriptions were pretty much spot on and seeing my band is adding change the world this was an added bonus for me so now I dont have to figure this one out ;) . The licks section was a rehash of some of the transcribed songs not a bad thing. The book was a good read well thought out and entertaining. Now the negatives; the audio was very inconsistent with vibrato and intonation wobbly at best which turned me off in the first review. I was disappointed in no mention of how EC would always do call and response with a beginning peak and ending always using space immaculately. No mention of subtlety and delicacy from his fingers and attack by his pick and most recently his fingers. Running his hand up or down to keep time ie playing a phrase and then do a whoop by sliding his hand up the neck. An added bonus would have been how EC constructs a song but that would be asking too much. All in all this is a better then most introduction to the Clapton guitar style perfect for beginning guitarists4 stars2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Awesome book.By Elizabeth LauriaI have 7 or 8 other Clapton books. All of them added up arent as good or as thorough as this one. Cant wait till they have other play like books!
