Great resource; was referred to it by a professional code compliance officer.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. sound on principles and practiceBy Architect in BostonAny review of the changing nature of building codes requires an understanding of the underlying priciples of building codes. And it is better to have more than one opinion; when dealing with principles. I recomend this book; and Barry Yatts "Cracking the Codes"; and James Pattersons "Simplified Design for Building Fire Safety" to get a well-rounded understanding. If youre in a hurry try Frank Chings "Building Codes Illustrated" which has lots o illustrations; but is not as deep on the history and concepts as the above books.
