Dont be fooled by the cover (la-de-da); as it looks fairly second rate; this is an invaluable text for any one just starting a theatre related course. It is succinct yet witty and goes into great depth about technique and history. More importantly however; i think this book is a revelation to everyday communication. Any one who finds themselves unable to compete in underlying meaning during conversation would learn a lot. Parents too; a great help!
