Your can zoom in and out with the words but the pictures stay the same small size. It looks like whoever made this just used a regular copying machine and layed the book down for copying. For my purposes writing a paper on Japanese scrolls I think it will work. And the price is much lower than other email books so im not mad about it. There is importance placed on the words. If you want any enjoyment at all out of the pictures get a hard copy. I was about to post a screen shot but dont see an option to post a picture. Eachieve picture has 2 pages from the book and is less than an inch tall and less than 2 inches across.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. better on paperBy CSATTIXSesshus long scroll is an undeniable masterpiece. It is painted in black-and-white using Japanese ink techniques of the time. The problem is that the paintings are very subtle in shading and structure. This loss of subtlety when shown on my Kindle Fire was I think a major obstacle to enjoying these paintings. I would recommend a printed on paper edition; not the Kindle. Properly printed these pictures are an amazing source of beauty and inner peace.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A Zen LandscapeBy poppideeIm not really competent to make judgements here but I do enjoy examining the scroll; admire it and am glad to have it.
