Well; here goes:1) The photography is outstanding. The pictures are clear; concise and are done with both a great layout and a little bit of humor. Really well done.2) The writing is wonderfully to the point; vivid; well informed and is also done with some style and panache. The guy that wrote this really does play guitar.3) The team that put this book together did their research. They really get to the point quickly and provide facts that are actually useful and well played.4) Each page has a terrific layout. This isnt some template or in the usual book format of a guitar book where each instrument is photographed in a rich guys house. I really like the visual component of this book besides the pictures.I also like the paper they used for the book and the general feel of the book. I could carry this book around with me like little "guitar bible". This cant be used for pricing or identification really; its just a plain good insightful read that identifies some of the most choice guitars; amps and effects over the last century. And it does it extremely well. I have absolutely no complaints about this book. If you really like guitars; this book is reasonably priced and should be bought in paper form only (not e-book). Youll get it when you pick it up. 100% spot on the money!1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. It is nice to have all these items compiled together in a neat little book. Pictures are excellent and I really like the honest; frank tone of the author; more like your best bud; rather than a polished; sedate comment. I am buying it again as a gift for a friend who is coming to visit me soon.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Good content; fair conditionBy E. NeupertThe contents of the book was pretty good. I was happy with that. the actual condition of the book was at best fair. It looked like it had a little water damage but all of the pages were readable though so that was the pllus.
