I wanted learn more about the history surrounding the train. This is an excellent book about the Virginia Truckee Railroad. In fact; every "Images of America" book I have purchased has been excellent. I have around 15 of this series now and will be purchasing more. When I am looking for a history of something specific in the United States; this is the first book series I go to. I hope they keep expanding the series.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. VT MemoriesBy Jim J. RogersThe book is very comprehensive and descriptive of the Vt history. I grew up two blocks from the VT roundhouse in Reno and my mother took me along for its last trip to Carson City. The book is very complete and brought back some forgotten memories of the old right of way and out buildings that stood for a long time after. Excellent history of its service. Restoration of the route between Virginia City and Carson City now provides rides using the old engines. Worth a visit.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
