How they lived long agoBy ChrijeffThis large-format collection includes more than 850 illustrations culled from British and American magazines c. 1850-1930. Silhouettes; engravings; and pen-and-ink drawings portray youngsters of all ages alone; with their toys; their pets; their friends; and their families; mostly doing what kids do best--having fun. In fact; though these illustrations come from much simpler times; you can see; in looking through them; that children havent really changed that much in the last 80 years or so. From portraits to vignettes and action pictures; these spot illos should inspire craft projects and original stories galore.
