One of the best ways to pick up a new instrument is through something like Christmas carols because you know what the sound like. The down side is that darn near everything I tried to play was in pretty hard key to sing in--too high! Someday someone will write an alto-friendly song book but this isnt it. But the book has a lot of songs; with each song having all the cords printed at the beginning of the song. It was a good addition to my collection of music books.
