Review
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. good summary of the historyBy Chris ThomsonThis is a quick and easy read. It spends the first half on the history and politics of approving a design; then the rest on the actual design and construction of the bridge. The illustrations are odd but attractive; kind of a mix of cartoon and fine art; no photos. As an engineer; I would have liked to know more about the design aspects; but understand that those dont interest most people.1 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Buy this book and get the full storyBy Robert W. HastingsA terrific story; well told. Donald MacDonald really brings the full story alive with a wonderful history; and in depth analysis of why the Bay Bridges design is so amazing. The illustrations are vivid and provide great insights.1 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Five StarsBy Jw J. Mcclanahangood
