Planning in the United States since 1945; now discusses the continuing trends of urban dispersal and social polarisation; as well as initiatives in land use planning and transportation policies. The book looks at the nature of the planning process at the end of the twentieth century and looks forward to the twenty-first century.

In fact; I own three copies and have given it as a gift to several friends. Ive knit more items from this book than from any other of my books. Every project Ive made has ended up looking beautiful and classy. Perfect for gifts or for myself. I love the "luxury yarn" aspect. My husband always tells me that if Im going to spend hours and hours knitting something; Id better be buying the best yarn or else Im just wasting my time. Amen!I would love to see "Luxury Yarn One-Skein Wonders BOOK TWO" come out!2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Nice; but...By L. StoneThis is another nice one-skein book; but the thing that really sinks it for me is the arrangement of the pictures. Theyre all together in the front of the book; and there is no picture with each individual pattern. So first of all; its hard to appreciate each project individually; and second; if you want to look at the pattern with the picture; you have to keep flipping back and forth. On the plus side; the table of contents is sorted by weight of yarn; although I would have preferred more conventional weight; like "fingering" rather than "lightweight."Youll probably want this if you like one-skein books; but the sock yarn one-skein book is a billion times better; both in layout and in variety and quality of patterns.5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. totally inappropriate binding for this type of bookBy NMBThis note is not about the content of the book but about binding. Because of poor binding I an returning this book without spending enough time to appreciate the content! Very poor choice! I specifically wanted a paper cover hoping it will be more flexible and will allow me to use this as a manual. No so...This is a work book; not just a browse through illustration magazine! It needs to be hardy enough to withstand multiple uses. The pages are flying off just after one use.
